My name is Jared Almanzor

I am a fledgling journalist who was a part of the Quo Vadis, Middlesex College’s newspaper for three years.

I started off volunteering to be a part of the paper for a year, mostly as a coping mechanism for personal matters.

But I became curious about the behind the scenes work of a newspaper the year afterwards. I learned what I could during that year and I wanted to hone and improve my skills from there as a Managing Editor and Section Editor.

During my two years as a Managing Editor of the Quo Vadis, I decided that I want to take on Copy Editing and become a Layout Artist also. At some point, I felt like I overstayed my welcome and I decided to leave the paper when the time finally felt right.

I know I won’t give up my love as a journalist any time soon because I enjoyed covering what I wanted to do. And I don’t want to give that up any time soon.
